clutch gone after 25,000 miles
I have an 2005 A4 and my clucth is nearly gone... the dealer is telling me that Audi does not cover the clutch in the warranty (they say is normal wear and tear,..... but..... after only two years and a half?).... This is going to be my first burnt clutch (after 20 years of driving stick). Is this something that happens regularly to most A4 ???
By the way I only press the clutch when shifting, never leaving my foot in it on a red light...

Wear and tear on a manual. Thats just how it is, unfortunatly. My clutch went out at 65K but thats because i abused the car when i first got it. (i bought it since 36k miles). Just gotta eat it man. If i were you i would send your flywheel to get resurfaced and put in either stock or a aftermarket disk and pressure plate. Reuse ur flywheel, because thats what kills if u buy a new one.
ummmm, maybe learn how to drive a stick on a car thats cheaper to fix. I have NO idea how you burn out a clutch in 25k miles....thats INSANE! I learned how to drive a stick on a jetta with 110k on its original clutch, and I didn't even burn that one out! you are doing something wrong my friend....something very wrong....
I have a 2004 & was told that all I was responsible for were tires, everything else was warranty Maybe it is different here in Canada, because newer cars I hear don't have such a comprehensive warranty, ( it was probably costing Audi too much). I'de-mail Audi of America directly, I did this once when my control arms wore out, ( previous car ), & got my money back from them when the dealership charged me for it.
