Yeah you can get away with cheapy VW sensors for the 1.8t, but for the 12V there is only the oem part.

just came from the dealership, they saud there are two o2 sensor after the cat, the scanner at autozone said it was bank 2 sensor 2, does that mean its the passenger side, and which is the easiest way to access it, from underneath or from the inside? do i have to remove my center console?

Bank 2 = passenger side
Sensor 2 = post cat

Bad O2 sensors CAN cause a decrease in power/efficiency.

Yes, but post converter sensor wont cause much of a change in fuel consumption.

Duh, you're right. The post cat are just to measure the efficiency of the cat, not fuel trims.
