After a cold start, (left overnight), on startup it gives a lil hesitation and then starts right up.. and for the first couple of miles, its really jerky accelleration and it almost feels like it accellerates harder but its still jerky. I just got my fuel filter replaced which stopped the fuel pump from whining on startup and under accelleration, but it still makes a louder than normal 'HISS', with no smell of fuel tho.. Im also thinking I have an exhaust leak but dont know how to go about checking for one..

 

Im stumped guys .. I dont understand whats producing such a loud hiss without leaking. It just doesnt make sense. Im staring at it and cant find any type or leak and i dont smell any fuel..

 

Have you already replaced the coolant temp sensor? Any fault codes?

 

I have not .. i dont have a code reader.. Would it show up on the autozone reader?

 

If something is wrong, it should show.

 

After you get the codes read follow any repairs needed for that fault code.
If there are no fault codes replace the coolant temp sensor, they don't always throw a fault when they malfunction.
