Default Cold Start, low RPM Problem - Need Help

Need Help!
I have 2007 A4, 2.0T. 30,000 mile. I recentlynoticedtheengine's rpm is about 1,000 when I started my car at very cold morning (outside is 25F). After about 30 sec., the RPM dropped to 800. It was lower than last year winter time. I knew normally, the RPM is around 1400 to 1500during the cold star, and it took atleast 60 seconds to drop down to 800. Canany one give mysomesuggest whatthe problem is. Thanks!

You dont have one. It the 2.0T is like the 1.8T, 1000rpms then down to 800rpms is completely normal. Its the sai (secondary air injection) on and bring the temp of the engine up faster for emissions (you idle less to get up to temp).

CincyTT:
If it is normal, then why the previous RPM was much higher than 1000 rpms ? Thanks for your comment ! -- Rick
