i like southbend clutches, they also do free flywheel resurfacing

as far as what clutch, it would depend on what your plans are for the future of the car

hit up nick@autobahnexotics.com or call him at 714.241.0298 tell him chris aka papachristou sent you over, he can answer any other questions you have about the particulars of each clutch... i have bought several things from him with outstanding several before and after the sale each time

Its a personal decision as to what clutch and stage is right for you. You also have to take into account what you intend to do with your car (mods, track use, etc). I chose a stage II RS4 Spec clutch and I'm reasonably happy with it. Its not as smooth as the stock clutch, but is way more robust, which is what I wanted for occasional track use. The shop I chose was very helpful in advising me on the right clutch.

Lots of people have had great experiences with Southbend. Their "OFE Street" is quite popular on our cars. They even offer a cryogenic treatment option, which re-jiggers the molecular arrangement of the material. Might be just smoke & mirrors, but its probably best to check their site.

Stage II is plenty for most people and is very stock-like, but a great upgrade from the factory Sachs clutch. I would also suggest going with the OE dual-mass flywheel. I chose a lightened steel one (from an RS4 actually) which is what I wanted, but its a little noisier than stock. You may even be able to get away with having your current flywheel resurfaced, but frankly as long as you're going through the trouble (and expense) of replacing your clutch you may as well do the flywheel at the same time. It would suck to have to go back in in 10,000 miles and have to do it anyway (and pay another $500+ in labor).

Good luck...
