Default connecting ipod to stereo question

The Dension unit seems to be very popular for connecting the ipod to the stereo...so i'm looking into it. I noticed that it clearly states

"Compatible with A4 1998-2005, S4 1998-2005, A6 1998-2004, S6 1998-2004, A6 allroad 2002-2005, A8 1998-2003, S8 1998-2003 and TT 2000-2005 with Chorus, Concert Symphony, Symphony II radio (6 disk in-dash) systems"

I have a 1998 A4 with the Bose system...my 6 disk changer is in the back.

Now my ultimate question: Does anyone know for sure if this unit is compatible with my car? Does anyone currently have the setup?

my thoughts: I have the 6 disk changer...so there is the port for that on the back....i should be able to just plug this dension unit right into the back where that is...if i had the indash 6 disk like they mention...why would i need/have the port on the back?

it's compatible, you'll have to disconnect your cd changer though.

unless you get the one from mp3yourcar, in which case they have units that can be hooked up either in the back 13-pin port, or right off the head unit. I actually have a brand new one still in its packaging, i bought it for my car and my headunit burnt out before it even came in. PM me if your interested.
