Default Considering buying an a4 (advice needed)

Ok, so I'm not super familiar with buying cars as of yet. I have found a 2007 Audi A4 and I had some questions for you guys but first some info on the car .
81,500 miles, I got the guy down to $8,900 it is black on black and has the s-line package (frontwheel drive). I have all maintence records on it and everything checks out.

Now for my questions
Is this a good deal?
I live in TN (it never snows here) is FWD not such a bad thing to buy or should I hold out and try to find a Quattro?
Any specific issues to watch out for on this year?
I'm sure you guys have a lot of these posts but any and all help will be very appreciated.

Most here will tell you to find a Quatro. Not only is the AWD great for snow, it also is very handy on wet roads. I have also read that the CVT in the FWD is not the best transmission out there. There are a few on here that do love their FWD cars. You get better fuel economy from a FWD compared to a AWD.

As for the car the miles seem really good (my 2008 is creepy up to 160k) and the price doesn't seem out of line. If it is a 2007 S-line then it should have the three spoke steering wheel and the few other goodies that came in the package. In 2008 all A4s were called s-lines although not all of them got the actual sport package.

Besides the CVT you will need to change the timing belt in the next 20k miles (some would say it needs to be changed now). That will run any where from $800 to $1500 depending who does the work. I got mine done for just over $900. The cam follower also is an issue with this year of car. Suppose to be pretty easy to replace and only runs about $80. Imagine you could get a shop to do it for about $200. Also, expect oil changes to run close to $100 for these cars. You have to use full synthetic. You didn't say what size engine so I am guessing the 2.0T. If you have the six cylinder then you can ignore that I said above.

I live in St. Louis and we get enough snow and ice I wouldn't want the FWD version. That is my personalt choice though. Best of luck.
