what makes you think that. how are you going to test for it?

 

ok this sounds strange but, i had the same thing happening to my car, so try checking the brake pads... i had the car up in the air and banged on the tire while holding the brake pad still, no clacky sound, let go of the brake pad and the sound is back, i was told it is because the brake pad was an aftermarket part? i dont realy know but thats what the sound was coming from.

 

i had the same problem and after replacing the controle arms i found out it was the brake pads clanking around when i hit bumps in the road, check it out, could be the same problem i had, however owned the car b4 me got cheap brake pads that are not exactly made for the car.

 

Is there a poly control arm bushing to replace the factory recall bushing?

Ive used many powerflex bushings on my BMWs. Which one on that list is the bushing for this arm?

Obviously for both sides. Im also getting new bilstien sports anh H&R sport. Has anyone put urethane bushingsin there struts? Everthing else in my front end is good only those lower bushings are making noise.

jack the car up and put a pry bar under the tire
lift the wheel up and watch the lower ball joint thats the only way i could get mine to clunk
i just did a ecs control arm kit and no more clunk its easy to install one day thing
