just purchased this everything was really good and then last night on my ride home the temp gauge jumped and the coolant alert started flashing as well. Parked it and let it sit over night checked the coolant this morning and it was below the minimum. Got the g12 coolant mixed half and half with the distilled water. Started up and headed the 5 minutes to work and 3 minutes into the ride the alert was flashing and the temp gauge jumped again.


any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

 

A guess based on limited info would be a bad water pump or a stuck thermostat. Do you know the last time the timing belt was done? These are components that are usually done with a TB service.

 

appreciate the response. TB was changed at 97,000. So far what you said is what we've come up with as the possible problem. Will let you know more once I find out.
