Default Coolant Fluid?

Hey all, I notice on some of the pic on most A4 and their coolant
is orangeist to red. I don't think mine's that color. My question is,
what kind of coolant fluid should I use?

Most of us recommend OEM Audi/VW G12 coolant which is pink. What color would your's be? If it is brown then someone has mixed green and red. That would be a bad thing as it usually turns to sludge.

thanks for letting me know jestnomen. i hope mine's not brown as
you said. if it is, i'll make sure it is changed right away! by the way,
is it hard to remove the intake manifold? i'm thinking about removing
it in order to remove some of the old vac hose under the manifold.
please respond....

Is it hard to flush the radiator fluid on a B5 2.8 since we already are on the topic?

Not really that hard. There is an orange or red valve at the bottom of the radiator. It will dump all the fluid out. You can then replace it with one gallon G12 and one gallon of distilled water. Fill it up as much as possible. Start the engine and turn the heater on full blast. If the car accepts the 2 gallon mixture and hot air blows you are good to go. If it doesn't. You may need to find the bleed screws on the large hoses in the back of the engine. They turn and let the air out of the system.
