i have an 96 2.8 Audi A4 and i need to know what coolant temp senor i need the green or the blue?

If you talking about the one at the back of the engine on the air box side then blue (ACK,ALF) part number 078919501B and its the same for all the V6 lumps of 95-97.

Oh, if that is the one get the round seal to Part No: N90316802
