Default cosmetics or power?

so to make a long story short, a lightpole in a 7-11 parking lot fell on my cars hood while it was parked and unoccupied. Two estimates said roughly $3100 damage. but it really doesnt look too too bad. The scummy insurance company has only given me a check for $1600 and i have argued and not gotten aywhere. So i'm deciding if i should just leave the damage as is and buy an fmic and a pc-16 file with injectors, or just fix the damage. again it doesnt look too bad. and my car has high mileage and some road rash anyway. so i think i might enjoy the power boost more than the facelift... input???

I would go w/ power...and later on fix it if it really bothers you..think of it like this(i dont street race or anything because my friend died from it) but on the street do you think people will even see the damage when you fly by them at 1000+ mphs?

I'd fix it. If you don't, and you don't show your insurance company that you fixed it, then if you get hit again (maybe by a car), they could possibly argue out of paying you anything, saying that there's no way to tell how much damage is new and what was existing. At the least, they may give you very little to fix what would be legitimate damage.

go to a junkyard or shokan and pick up a cheap replacement hood and put the rest of the money towards mods. or get a CF hood.

no it dented into the front panels too. plus messed up the bumper a little bit... but it was quoted for just over 3k but the insurance company only gave me 1600 for it so you can see my dilemma.

how much is a cf hood... plus i would want to paint it because i dont like the mis-matched look.
