Default Could low oil level trigger a CEL?

I always thought low oil would trigger the oil lamp not a CEL but I honestly can't think of what else could be causing it(Yes I tried the gas cap trick). She runs good, accelerates fine. Temperatures and voltages look good. Any thoughts?

Not to be an ***, but why not have the code SCANNED. A purely low oil level won't cause a CE light. CE lights are usually emission control system related.
