Default A couple of probs with my 2002 A4

I recently bought a 2002 A4 1.8T QUATTRO. The car is very fun to drive, but there are a couple of little things that are bothering me. 1:Temperature gauge is sparatac (I did read that some need replaced in 2002). 2: The AC suddenly shut off the other day. The fan blows, but it is non cooled air. 3: The window switches on the drivers side act a little funky. The drivers window doesn't like going up or down with the auto function and the passenger switch only works when you push it hard enough for the auto function, so it will only go all the way up, or all the way down. The switch on the passenger door works perfect. 4: The add windshield washer fluid light stays on even after there is fuid in the resevoir. I do not have an owners manual and plan on getting one soon. I also look forward to being a part of this great forum. Thanks in advance.

The temp gauge on my 02 is sparatic also. Sometimes it will not work and sometimes it will read half the actual temp. I have to shut the car off a couple of times and then it works.

well I figured out the a/c. The plug was broken. I guess that's what I get for checking my hay in my audi. Who would have known that these cars weren't suppose to go through fields?

Hmm, I may can help you with your auto window function. Here's what you do:

Turn your car on to the ignition stage, the one right before cranking the motor. From there, lower your drivers' window a little, but not all the way, then close your window fully and release the switch, then press the window switch up again and release. That should fix the auto function for your drivers' window. Repeat this procedure for all the windows, you should be fine.
