crank and cam seals

Default crank and cam seals

hey guys, i didnt see anything about this when i was reading through replacement procedures for these seals but figured maybe i would ask on here and see what u guys say. so here it goes, doing timing belt on a4 2.8 12v tomorrow and replacing the cam and crank seals, do u use rtv on the outer lips of these seals or just press em in dry?

What do you know, Learned something today!

Note:

Do not apply oil to sealing lip or outer circumference of seal .

- Install 3241/2 pull sleeve from 3241/1 press sleeve onto camshaft.

- Press seal flush into cylinder head using 3241/1 press sleeve and 3241/3 bolt.
