How badly should I expect my headliner to creak in my new B7 A4? Around the SRS curtain airbags it will pop and creak when I travel over rough roads or transitions in a road (street to parking lot). Whenever the car twists (one wheel on a curb for instance) it will creak quite noticeably as well.

Has anyone else experienced this or am I just going crazy? Should it not creak at all?

Mine creeks a little bit when its been sitting in hot weather and i start to drive and take corners.

 

wel if ur car is brand new, i don't think it should creak very much. maybe some now and then but nothing should be going nuts lol

it shouldn't creak at all. even if it is a rough surface. my '07 doesn't make any such noise. you bought a new car, and you should take it to the dealer and make them fix it.

 

Mine creaks up by the maplights above the back seats. Might be something to do with the sunroof rails, perhaps.

 

I have a cabriolet. It makes the creaking or a rice crispy kinda noise from time to time around the windows. I have tried slippery stuff on all the seals, but what seems to work best is baby powder. To avoid making a mess I mix a little baby powder and water and paint it on with a brush. Too much power just makes the seals white. I would powder the seals around the doors of your car.

 

Yeah, it creaks a lot. I am driving a 2006 loaner now that has 33k on it and it creaks 90% less than mine. I'm going to call them to have them look at it that too. DAMNIT!
