cv boot
hey sry for starting a new thread for this, but i have a torn outer cv boot on my drivers side. I bought the boot kit because i caught the problem when it happened (yesterday) problem is i dont have any of my tools or jack stand with me up at school. and i dont really feel comfortable doing the work in my schools parking lot. would it be safe to pack the torn boot with grease and drive it 150 miles. stopping maybe once every 30 miles to re pack it with grease? or do you think the cv joint would fail by that time and i would end up crashing or something? i have a 96 2.8 QA
please anyone with any knowledge in this area help, im calling on all your experitise because i really need to get home tmrw, and no shop will take me before monday of next week.

first of all how is it looking right now? clean, dusty and how much grease in it right now? 150 miles not that much, but avoid any dusty road, water and while refilling boot with grease remove old one and then refill it
it seems alright, there might be a lil bit of dirt in there, but i just finished repacking it with fresh grease, removing the old stuff as much as i could. im going to be driving all highway miles, probably dirivng a lot slower than i normally would, around the 55-60 mph range unfortunately. but hopefully i can spare my joint for the ride, and replace the boot when i get home. anyone else think otherwise?
