I just bought my 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro a few weeks ago and i want to put my aftermarket deck in it so i can hook up my speakers and subs but i bought the DIN tools and tried to pull it out but it wont go all i did was crack the plastic, my mechanic is at a loss and i plan to take it to a custom sound shop soon if i cant do it myself if anyone has had any experience with this input would be greatly appreciated...

 

there's a special tool for that deck to pull it out. go to a local Best Buy, they'll pop it out for u

so today i went to my local sound shop and had them try to take it out the guy came back to me and told me that all the clips were broken (no idea how) and that @ $65/hr. it would take them 3 hrs. to do it...im thinking ill just take the dash apart myself, how hard could it be???
