I need this modification to be done on the car. I am aware of the DIY mod on this car and i will do the installation. But i need some enlightenment!!

First and i quote:" This mod is equal to the factory DRLs in Scandinavian A4s (as well as Canadian ones before 1999.5); only the wiring is slightly different."

This mod apply to a A4 2000? Is there a differencein the mod on the post 1999.5 models?

And also... i called the local dealer they told me the modification is done only by reprograming wich dont seem to be the case on this mod. Is this true...id hate to give a 450$ to the stealership.

What options do i have?

get a vag com or access a vag com through the list. Have the country code in the central electronics (09) changed to canada. I believe the country code is 14. if you have shadetree software you change the code from 01013 to 01014. I'm not sure if it is the same with vag com because I use shade tree on a palm pilot.

 

this will not work on my car. I dont have the technology package. So with the VAGCOM it will not work.

 

01 and older cars dont have the 09 module.

 

My daylight on the left front (sitting in car) of my 2005 Audi A6 Quattro has gone out and I am constantly being bugged by the dinging in the car when i start it. I wanted to know if anyone knows how to replace the daylight and if they could please explain it to me. Please & thankyou!!!!!!!
