Default Defrosting Issues

So I live in Chicago,IL & we are getting temps around 15-20 now (finally cold weather)

Well here's my problem... I drive a 1999.5 and for some reason my "rear defrostisting" is not working properly. The light on the CLimate control lights up--- but I drove from home to work today...and the whole way NOTHING DEFROSTED!

Any ideas? Would the light still go on if a fuse was blwon?

I had this problem for one day when it got to 7* (I also live near Chicago and have a 99.5 A4tqm) The light goes on on the defroster for a few sec then shuts off every time you press it, at the same time I had weird characters on my radio and the station text was displaying improperly. Although it went away on its own next time I started the car, I assume because it got a bit warmer that day... I really am not sure what to tell you other then it may go away on its own like mine did...

I was told my a friend that it could be "contacts" aka the LINES in the back and they have kits where u can reconnect them.

and "Draw" lines back in place.
