Did anyone ever change transmission fluid??
I'm starting to wonder about how my mechanic changed my tranny fluid. He removed the hoses from the tranny cooler lines and circulated in new fluid from there.
Hmmm, but then how do you know when you have reached the exact level?
I would really like to save some bucks, rather than paying a fortune for something that could be done at home.

well the way you check if its the right level is by bringing the fluid up to said temp and removeing the plug in the....aahhh...check hole then when the fluid slowly drips out its full...
Yes I already bought the filter but when ordering I forgot to refresh the page er sumthing because the fluid never made it onto the invoice Ill get the fluid eventually really I will...

117 sounda about right for the dealer to drain and fill.
That sounds cheap for having them drop the pan, change the filter and replenish the fluid.
As I recall, the correct fill is when it just drips out when the engine on . Fill it up then turn on the car and run the transmission through the gears ending in park. This will suck up some fluid and fill again until it just dribbles out.
Put the check plug back in BEFORE stopping the engine, otherwise the fluid in the torque converter will pour out as will lots of transmission fluid.
