Default dipped headlight warning still showing up

I got a warning for right and left dipped headlights. I thought it was the lisence plate lights at the rear of the car. 1 was out on the right . I replaced it. Warning still is showing up. Every light freakin works.............WTF!!!!

Replacing the bulb with one that fits, but is the wrong wattage or wrong part number will cause the "dipped" light to persist. How about center brake light?

This drove me nuts once as all my lights were working. I checked the bublbs and saw that the replacement bulb didn't have the same number as the old one. when I replaced it with the matching number, the problem went away.

The licensce plate lights are not monitored by the instrument cluster. The dipped headlight warning occures when there is a problem with the xenon headlights. Do both headlights work? They also have motors that control the aim of the headlights in the verticle plane. Part of that system includes vehicle height sensors for the front and rear. Check for faults in the headlight electronics. YOu probably have a bad vehicle height sensor.
