Default Diverter Valve

I got a diverter valve for my 06 quattro but am having trouble finding where it is. Is it under the turbo like the older mods? One guy tried to tell me that it is in the turbo. Whats up?

Not positive where the b7 one is. I would assume they didnt move it too far from the previouse ones. Luckily you have the new diverter valve so you know basically what it looks like. I suggest untill someone with a B7 confirms where it is you try and look where they are typically on older models which is under the turbo like you said before. Its easyer to jack the front of your car up and remove the skid plate. After that it should be fairly wide open if its like mine. Here is what the DV should look like:

Hope this helps

DV valve is basically an air dump valve that's where you get the wooosh from, kids love the sound as I do but all it is is sound of air venting nothing more "a bit like a good fart you cant hold in"

I hate to sound stupid but is that all a diverter valve is. I'd rather have BOV. lol.

its not how it looks its what it does a BOV vents to atmosphere which ***** up the cars thinking and makes it run like **** and ***** the cat, a dv recircualtes back to the car so the metered air isnt vented

my post was really meant as a joke. But after reading Badluckaudis response, I would like to know more about the dv. It sounds like a BOV is just for sound but a dv does somthing performance wise. is this correct. And what is meant by metered.
