i have a boost guage.....before i could see the psi go up to 17 or 18 once it reach that it will go back down...i figure thats about right.......but now .....it goes up slowly and it looks like it doesn't release like before...the needle never goes back down... i feel the lost of power also...i thought that my turbo when bad...but then i stop and took up right away .....and press on it ...and then my psi went to about 15 and drop again. and started back up.. dont know whats going on...

sounds like u may have a leak somewhere?

 

if the needle is not going back down quickly you have a vacuum leak

 

Yep, sounds like a leak to me. When mine was leaking, I didn't have a boost gague, but you could tell boost wasn't building as fast or near as much.

could be that you burned out your DV or you've got a leak.

you're chipped right?

 

If your hitting 17psi with a stock diverter valve then I would say it is that but you may be lucky and just a have a vacuum leak.... now for the fun part.... finding it.
