I've learned that on a A4 the difference between the 1.8 and the 2.8 is that they use black trim on the 1.8 and chrome on the 2.8 for the door/window trim. (Thanks Josh!) I have a 2.8 with the chrome and would like to go black! Could any one help me on this topic wether it be where I can accuire the trim, removal and/or stripping/covering the chrome to make it black. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

what year is yours? it's funny i did a post about this a while ago, because mine is black and i wanted chrome. may be we can swap why don't you like chrome?

 

Mine is a 2000. It's not that I don't like it. Ilike the black better.
Just thelook I'm going for.

 

sand it and paint it.
