DRIVER SIDE SPEAKERS
Here i go with more problems with my freaking A4.... as some already know i had my door replaced not too long ago due to an idiot driving a pick up truck.. now i got my car and everything is working (unlike when i 1st took it out the shop) i had to call audi to get my code for my radio and now my driver side door has no sound. is there any way i can trouble shoot it myself before i go back and have to deal with this bullsh!t bodyshop?? ive already done the whole fade to front and fade to the back and the driver side door def has no sound.. and i took off the panel and everything seemed to be plugged in to the speaker and tweeter.
Disconnect and reconnect the speaker and see if theat helps.
Look for signal at wire with a voltmeter.
Are either of the two door speakers working? If not either your radio is shot (unlikely) or the wire is broken before the split.
By the way, if you had to pay for the code, you should try to have it covered by the other guys insurance. Afterall it is an indirect cost of the accident.

hey david.. na i didnt have to pay for the code cuz i ended up finding out who was the selling dealer and they gave it to me for free. yeah neither speaker is working that whole side is dead. the rest of the speakers in the car work perfectly.
hey david lets say if i take off the panel again would i be able to get at the connections like that without having to remove the door cuz im really trying not to deal with that bodyshop but if all else fails ima hafta take it back to them.
Take off the panel, check the wires and pull out and reconnect the connections. If you have a voltmeter, check for signal at the speakers. See if you can find a loose connection.
If not, take it back to the bodyshop and tell them to find the problem and fix it. If your insurance was covering it, call them up and tell them that there is a problem with the repair.
