Driving the auto like a standard

Just curious if anyone of you drive your auto (tiptronic) like a standard for most of the time if not all the time.

I have an A6 Quattro and I do not drive it like that very much. It just seams like the trans shifts faster in auto.

I do sometimes, but I also find the automatic transmission much faster
