I just got my forge 007 in. I thought I read that it needs to be greased before I install and every year or so after? I couldnt find the info in a search and know how to install just need to know what grease (if any).

its ready to install. Greasing it once a year is fine, many dont ever do it. To do it, just remove the top and pull out the piston and apply some high temp grease on it and then reinstall.

i never greased my 006 and never had problems with it.

 

i have a 007 and never greased it. just put it right in. the one time clamp on the OEM one is a pain to get off tho.

 

Jack up the car on the passenger side and go at it from underneath. This took me all of 10 minutes to remove the stock and install the Forge 007P DV. use a flathead screwdriver to help pry off the vacuum line, or else when you pull on it, the vacuum line acts like a chinese finger trap/ chinese handcuffs - not meaning to be non-politically-correct - but I don't know how else to describe it.
