Is a DV just a US name for a recirc valve, or is it different? If it is, then it will make a BOV noise, but it depends a lot on what induction set up you have. Regular airbox, then you will probably hear it very little, if at all. On a cone filter, ro similar setup, you will hear it more. I could hear the stock dump valve on mt MR2 Tubby as much as the BOV that I fitted afterwards, due to the HKS filter I had installed.

If a diverter valve is not a recirc valve, than I am probably talking bollox!! (we call things different things in UK than over here!)

the only thing i have to worry about now is finding a place in my area that will install peformance parts and hopefully they wont charge alot but do u have any idea of what the cost of a dv installation would be?

So is a DV just what they call a recirc on this side of the pond?? I'd like to know so I can put it in the file listed 'Audi stuff' in my head...

No body wants to talk to Toff anymore??? Anyway Toff, yes it a recirc & DV are the same. As for the original question... yes you can purchase a DV that sounds like a BOV, but generally they don't at all.
