Cheers Lid. Appreciate it. Its gets a bit odd sometimes. In the UK we call BOV's - Dump Valves (DV's) sometimes, so I was a little confuddled as to what you guys called them.
They are a dump alve ( what you would call a BOV), or a recirc DV, ( a recirc dump valve). Some peeps call them Blow off valves too, so I felt I had to check, even if it made me look a little silly!

 

Well i'm in Australia, but my understanding is

DV = Diverter Valve
BOV = Blow off Valve
RV = Recirculation Valve

&

VD = Veneral Disease

The RV & DV are the same. Period. People call them different things depending on which brand the buy like bosch call them a Turbo By Pass valve... F.uck know's why they do this, except it confuses the shi.t out of most of us. I'm unsure of dumpvalve but i'm pretty sure it is a BOV

A blow off valve is a dump valve. Same thing. But we called diverter valves recirc valves. I was gettin all confused over dv's, as they seemed to mean different things.
