I've just been reading a lot about dv's and how good they are and to get rid of the oem original one that comes with my car but my car is still stock...would it still be alright to buy it and install it? I got a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. Thanks guys

 

well. It helps with the pressure but i thinks its only needed for upgrading the turbo. i could be wrong. I have one on mine but thats because of the upgraded ECU and other things..

 

It's always alright to upgrade your DV! Since you are stock I would go with the 710N DV since its pretty cheap and can easily handle stock and chipped boost.

If you're planning on stepping in to some modding soon, you might as well get a decent DV right away.
