2.5" is fine for a gt28rs. You just need to run their larger core however.

how much do you think the piping would cost including the connecting peices? cause if i can find a core for $100 but the piping is another $100 then its probably easier to just get the kit rite?

The ebay kits are already as cheap if not cheaper than peiceing together you own kit with a ebay core.

You can get the same kit off ebay for half the price. Or do like I did and buy the pipe and ic separate for $150-$200 shipped. No matter what you are going to mod the bumper. I called renn art or someone that sells a kit that does not require any cutting and asked them for the dimensions. I took those numbers and searched ebay.

what are those numbers?

I want to say it was 28" x 10" x 2.25" (L x H x W) I got mine a year ago and dont have the paper laying around anymore. Based off what I bought these numbers seem about right.
