I wouldn't worry too much about that, you'd have to push REALLY hard if it's even possible.

how come this B&m SS is $210? you said one retails for $80. what makes this one so much better? i am really nhesitant to buy something cheep for my car when i find one conciderable more expencive. i have the mindset of its a $15k luxury vehicle, y go cheep on something that is this important., special, and needs to last long adn feel good. (she is ym baby. its a love/love relationship)

How hard is the DIY on these short shifters? How deep do you have to dig into your car to attach this thing?

Its not hard at all it should take you about an hour. You just need to pull out the shifter, swap out your new parts and reinstall.
