Default ECU Question

Has anyone noticed that after removing power from the battery or removing a fuse that the car is sluggish for about a week and then it seems to get its power back? mine continues to do this throughout my quest for power and moding.

that's quite normal because the car has to be driven through cycles for the ECU to set its self up

i recently got my car chipped and now it feels like it lost some of its new found power. should i use the flash loader and flash it back to "Performance". will this help the ECU remember what it is supposed to be doing? i also think my DV is not doing its job anymore. time to buy a new one.
