I have a 2001 A4 1.8T. Recently my back passenger side window has decided it doesn't want to work anymore. It slides down and will only go back up if I pull it back up. In addition my back speakers are no longer working.

A couple of months ago I had an iPod adapter installed in the trunk. This may have nothing at all to do with these issues I am having but I thought I'd put it out there.

I have no idea if both the window and the speakers are linked together, but it sounds like maybe it is.

Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know what I would be looking at cost-wise to fix this?

 

If you have a non bose system, the rear speakers are "active" with a small amplifier attached to the underside of the driver's side rear speaker. Climb in the trunk and check the connections.

Rear window sounds like the regulator is Jamming.
