Default Is emissions warranty for real?!

Look what I found on another website:

An excerpt from this other site reads...

"...Under the law, emissions related parts---you should find a list in your owners manual--are covered for up to eight years 50,000 to 100,000 miles, no matter how long the car's regular warranty last." Is this real?! Has anybody had any experience with this? After all, one can't believe everything one reads. Right? If this emissions warranty is true, happy days for me!

Secondary air flow system stuff is emissions related, no?

Thanks,
NCgirl

Yes, I believe emissions warranty is 80K or 8 years, however, you have to check the warranty book for detains on whats covered and for how long. Certainly catalytic converter at least. probably secondary air injection pump

MAFs fall under the emissions warranty as well.

in reality the car has to have a service record from A to Z of its life for the warranty to be active ( who knows if the speedometer was changed ) by a previous owner/ dealer which would invalidate any warranty like many mods, worth a thought??
