Engine could be toast. Trying to figure out what the car is worth as is.
Good looking red A4 in Utah. 1.8t engine.
I'm trying to decide if I should just get another car.
It has 130,000 miles. Newer turbo. My son drove it after it broke a coolant line until it wouldn't run anyone more.
Best case scenario; Needs a new head. Was quoted $1300 for that.
Worst case; Needs new engine. Was quoted $3400 for that. (rebuilt w/ warranty)
I really want a VW TDI. I'm wondering how much I could get for this A4 to put towards the TDI.
