Default Engine Oil Light Flashing Help

i was out testing my car because I just recently got it chipped and my engine light beeped a few times then just stayed on flashing. I know the oil levels are good I checked them plus I just had the oil changed 3 days ago. I came home ASAP when this started. I let the car idle in my garage for a few minutes and it sounded perfect...Turned it off for a couple minutes then turned it back on and let it idle for a few more minutes and the light never came back on... I have read of oil pump failure etc from sludge... Should I take this serious and keep it parked until I get it serviced? I am just looking for suggestions on what to do. Thanks!

most definetly do not drive your car this does sound like a oil pump problem whenever you see you check engine light flashing or you oil light on you should shut off you car right away

is there any simple way I can find if this is due to sludging?

I'll assume you have a 1.8T. If the pickup screen is plugged up , you shouldn't run the engine. Remove the oil fill cap. Use your finger to feel for sludge on the valve cover. Remove the dip stick and rub the oil between two fingers. If you found smooth oil in both places you're probably OK.
