i don´t know what happen to my car, but a new engine sound starts, it sound like a little hammer in the engine, what could it be? i still have 6 months of warranty, what did you recomends?

is it like a tapping noise, and increases as you rev the engine? Could be the lifters.

 

is that a big problem for the engine? can it be fixed?

 

yea its either the valves or the lifters it can be fixed how many miles do u have

 

i have 12,430 miles

 

i would take advantage of that warranty asap

 

it's a pretty normal sound, but i would have a mechanic take a look. Your car doesn't have very many miles to be having lifter noise just yet. What oil do you use?

 

Real bad gas maybe?

 

ok, today i went to the shop and buy a mann oil filter, the i replace the audi mexican filter by the german, and the sound dissapiers ! all get fixed !!! but thanks to every body...

ahh... i found the possible solution at www.mobil.com (faq´s) based on our comments about the lifts...
