Default Odd sound from engine

Can anyone tell what this sound is? 1.8t motor

It seems to match the rpm.

Sounds like somethings definitely not right. Have you checked your plugs? One bad plug could make something like that happen. You prob need to run a few logs to find out what's happening.

My money is on a bad belt tensioner. Sounds like it has a bearing going bad.
It matches the rpm's because as the revs increase, the belt tightens on its own.

Default timing belt went today

so it was probably the tensioner. pricing from 1800 to 4000 to repair

agree with this have you noticed it hard to crank over as sometimes it will kill your battery......

where do you live at least area as that is higher then even I have heard of...

some places will let you buy the parts and just charge for labor hours as I get the parts as cheap if not cheaper then most shops I can give you the sites to buy from email me whanab....

Should be more like $1500-2500.
While you're in there, you should replace everything that comes with the "kit."
Better than the result of a broken impeller-belt, etc that costs ^ $4000.
Consider yourself lucky that the tensioner gave you warning that the belt is wearing and needs to be replaced.

I see you guys from so fl port charlotte has avenue garage I believe they charge $80 an hour and they know these cars you can buy the parts and they will just charge an hourly rate at the given hour or less there is also another one get back to you on that
