near 600 hp for ~10k ain't shabby
totally confused...

anyway I'm done. there's crossed wires somewhere. I was trying to help and show my research, prevent someone from doing whatI did.... Apparently it wasn't helpful. Shell cars and vr6-t conversions were never in my info. Hope Chaos' info helps someone as well.

Neither of you take into account the money you can reclaim by selling your old engine, turbo, cat and exhaust, brackets, A/C....when you go the engine swap route.
tru that. that is why a vr6 swap is a good idea. you can either find an empty a4 shell for mad cheap. or if you already have an a4 you can either buy a 12v vr6 for dirt cheap, and then sell your engine. or just sell your car, buy the shell, and use the profit to put towards the vr6t. 600hp for under 10k.

Hi-Fives all around. I'd buy a round to bury the hatchet, but I'm on my garage laptop, and thouroughly distracted from the hell that is Audi Control Arms... .

Default B6 3.0 quattro swap for 4.7

Sorry I know this is an old thread kinda searching for #'s tossing the idea of swapping the original 3.0 for a 4.7(t/tt maybe?) I love my car she's treated me well but as do all things she's coming due for either rebuilding or letting go. I'm not afraid of spending a few $ but I'm trying to get a rough assessment of cost before I commit to doing it.
From what I think I understand from reading a few threads 90% of this swap for me is bolt and go.... but as I don't see a ton of these threads I'm sure I'm mistaken or overlooked something painfully obvious. Definitely kinda new on the forums here so if I missed something I apologize. Hopefully somebody has a little more insight than myself lol. Thanks in advance
