hey guys in the near future i will be getting a ko4 turbo. Some people tell me that i dont have to but recommed changing theexhaust manifold to a bigger one like atp. Do you guys think it is worth the money and also will i see alot more hp on the stock turbo, if i changed it now. thanks

If you have a K03 now + a completely stock carand you changed your exhaust now.. To lets say a Borla, Milltek, or APR..I don't think you would feel that much of a difference, unless your car is chipped! You would feel a big difference then. You'd feel a bigger difference if you get a high flow cat or a test pipe to go along with your upgraded exhaust.

If you are only bumping up to a K04, I would suggest staying with the stock exhaust mani...if you ever plan to go any bigger than a K04, then it would be e good idea to look into an aftermarket mani....besides that my guess on gains with K04 using aftermarket mani would be extremely minimal (no more than 5whp(maybe more if you were running cat-less)) I would however guess that you would be spooling much quicker....I guess I am trying to say it's a big expense for such a small improvement, money would probably be best spent elsewhere (unless of coarse you are pondering BT(which, who isnt?))
