Back on the running part, that guy with the motorcycle needed to rejet because a computer doesnt control his fuel input. our cars will automatically adjust for small things like that.

i would agree that if u buy the exhaust alone u r paying close to a grand depending what u go with for about 10 hp give or take?

get a 1+ flash with injectors for $800 if u can install the injectors yourself and get a test pipe for $100 and a forge DV $125 and u are set till summer, then get a FMIC/DSMIC then exhaust last...

i really wished i had dyno'ed my car before and after to see what kind of gains the NS exhaust and Test pipe actually gives, im sure its not much.. but EUROCODE claims up to 48 ft lbs torque increase and up to 19 hp with their TP

im just not seeing how i could have gained that much? i think it spools quicker and i know it cools down quicker because i did some vag com logs of EGTs but it sure as hell didnt feel like 20hp/40ftlbs increase
wow thats a significant gain.. they claim

those 40+ tq gains are only at certain points in the rpm. your getting 30-40 more ft lbs at like 2k RPM but everywhere else in the powerband its more like 10-20 tq gains

Hey, well i never got into car modding or anything. I have currently a GS500 motorcycle and if you change exhaust/air filter you need to rejet. Otherwise you will run like crap. But thanks for the info.
i can see why you asked then. with cars the only time you have to change the tuning is when you add a significant amount of air or fuel into the engine. like say cranking up the boost from 8psi to 20psi. you would have a lot of air going into the engine but only enough fuel for 8psi. with small changes to the airflow like an exhaust or intake the ECU will automatically re-adjust.

I understand now. Yeah i know exhaust won't give more than maybe 10hp.. i just didn't know the computer will take care of that (isn't that nice, lol). Anyway i will prob go with the chip first now, i know there is a GIAC and APR dealer both within 20min or so from me. I will prob go with one of those, the APR i belive is $400 and the GIAC is $500.

If i remember correctly the GIAC will give me better top end power (good for 1/4mile) but the APR is better in the low end and i will spool up faster.. correct me if i'm wrong. I just need to decide what i want.

yes, the 20hp/40ftlbs torque was peak gain... they have the dyno gains over the RPM band... if u go to their site you will see it under the 2.0t test pipe
