Default exhaust leak

ok, so this lugging problem i have when i get more than 75 percent throttle is getting really annoying.

when i seafoam'd my car a month ago, i realized smoke coming from the engine bay, when i took a closer gander, i realized it was coming from the gasket inbetween the manifold and turbo.

woould this cause the o2 sensor to read less than it really is?, or just not provide enough pressure to the turbo, to get sufficent air, to accomidate all the fuel that is getting duped in?

how hard is it to replace this gasket? do i use copper?

i kno its running rich because i can hear the pinging, im chipped with neuspeed. (i think, when i baught it thats what the lady told me, but she wasnt exactly sure, and im using 91 octane, neuspeed doesnt make a 93 octane chip, as far as i know) I think that the air that should be spooling the turbo is excaping through the leak, causing boost to go down, and causing the enigne to run rich.

as most of you guys know its hard to be sure on any kind of these trouble shooting these things, everytime the cel light comes on, which im sure is because of this problem, i have no time to get it vag'ed.

if anybody has had this same problem, or thinks it could be somthing else, please shout it out, im just guessing...

also, iv heard that the coil paks are prone to failure on our cars, anybody know where i can find some cheap oem replacements, or upgrades?

help appreciated as always.

it sounds like you're right on the money...i would replace it with copper, even if the stock gasket isn't copper...
