Recently purchased a 2003 A4 with a 1.8T. Has 79,200 km's. I am thinking of getting a third party extended warranty from the local Audi dealer here in Ontario (Secure Drive warranty). Rather pricey, $2,888 for 40,000 km's or 2 years. Car has just been inspected at the dealer and there are no issues or problems, it was very clean and belonged to a professional sales women before, very well maintained with all the dealer stamps in the log book. What do you think, I know it may be a crapshoot but with the collective knowlege of this forums members, it may be less so.

 

If you dont have modding or voiding your warrenty in mind do it.

 

Go for the Extended warranty! I would go broke fixings my car w/ out it.
There are many third party companies out there, check them out to make sure they cover stuff like axle seals, boots, all the small stuff.
