Default Extended Warranty

Alright, just bought a A4'02 (sports package) with 65000 miles. I paid 2700 for a 36000mi/3months extended warranty (3rd party -- AUL company). For those of you who think this is a lot of money for an ext warranty, can you recomend a lower priced policy? Also, do most of you all even feel the extended is necessary? thanks all. I'll try to get pictures.

Yes! Go w/ an extended warranty. The company that i have has paid out over $7500 so far. I paid about $1800? for the policy that i have, i think. It was worth it, you will use more than $2700 easily.

We had about 150 miles on the car after we bout it when the CEL went on, and it's been in the shop about once a month after that.
The car had 40,000 miles when we got it, it's got 85,000 now.

it changes by dealer to dealer there were sum who asked around $3k but i found one dealer in PA that extended it for 1.8$K but i still didnt extend it reason for that is it doesnt cover the main parts and service that yougoto every 10-15 thousound miles for like tuneup and other stuff.
