It is MBP, mechanical breakdown protection. Four years or up to 100,000.

Thanks for the advice everyone. It sounds like the general consensus, except for Kellya, is to not go with an extended warranty.
so i cancelled that shet. Especially since the previous owner kept maintained pretty good.

Not sure where you got the numbers, but i paid a little over $1800.

 

i saw that a couple people had their control arms replaced. Was this covered under your warranty? I have a bent control arm and I was contemplating what to do. I still have the balance of my factory warranty and have CPO warranty. I think I bought some kind of road hazard protection but i have to check. Anybody have any experience with the road hazard warranty? supposedly covers wheels and tires if their damaged, does it cover anything else./

 

I saw KellyA4's post on another string that gave the 800# for that warranty company. I just purchased an 03 A4 1.8, and I called the company and they said there are certain euro and Japanese cars they won't provide warranty on. He told me the A4 is one of them. Maybe it differs from state to state? I'm in Utah.
