I just got a 2003 A4 1.8T with 44k miles and the works (body kit, 18" wheels, etc). I checked the service records and the previous owner had religiously had the car serviced at authorized Audi dealerships. I heard that this A4s had issues with oil sludge and that Audi USA has extended their warranty to 8 years for this problem.
I was wondering what you guys thought about the wisdom of buying extended warranties for this car. If yes, can anyone recommend a reputable company?

Dude i have the same car and i had oil sludge which resulted in a $2700 dollar job (new turbo and engine cleaning). Get it I wish i had>

 

Did you use synthetic oil? How often did you change oil?
