Default falken vs. yokohama

the tires i currently have on my car are the falken ziex512 - 235/45/17. i liked them alot but didnt like how quickly they wore out. i have been looking around for tires and i want to go with yokohama avid h4s. i did a search and couldn;t find and posts about these tires. my brother has a pair on his 00' a4 quattro with 15inch wheels and they seem pretty nice. has anyone else ever had these tires and like how they drove and handled. thanks

yokohamas in general are nice. not to mention they have super nice tread-patterns. i was rollin' on yokos before i got my dunlop sp's.. it sounds like you're looking for a tire for stock wheels, but i had AVS sport 235/40ZR18. they were nice.

both good tyres but the Yoko are softer so ware out quicker but for performance users the yokos win at a cost

i thought the falkens would wear out quicker because of the tread wear rating of around 360 and the yoko's are around 500 ?

I've got Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals. They're great in the rain. They're a summer only tire. When it gets cold, you know why they're a summer tire. I've had them for 3 months last summer and all of this summer. Hopefully they'll get through next summer before they need to be replaced. Not loud (although I can't really hear over my exhaust and radio), tread wear could be a little better.

Did you check out www.tirerack.com for the test results and reviews? There's a lot of info there.
