Default Fitting a Concert II on a 2004 A4

Hi All,

I recently bought a 2004 A4 1.8 T and am vey happy with it ;-).

It came with an after market Kenwood installed which I swapped out for a newer Kenwood that I already had, but I am now thinking perhaps it would be nicer to replace it with an original Audi Concert II CD player. This would fit in better with the rest of the dash etc....

My question to all who know, before I starting buying the radio (most likely from ebay), after taking out the kenwood unit, what else needs to be done ? i.e. I need to remove the aftermarket fascia right? With this removed, does the concert simply slot in? Or do I need any other brackets/adapters to fit the radio?
And of course then the cabling, anything needed there ?

Thanks in advance...

Adam

first off if i can remeber correctly on your car, the stock CD player is not a chorus, but it is a symphany, and that should slide right into the stock slot, also because you have an aftermarket player already in it, i believe if you have a BOSE system, there are amps and such, most aftermarket CD players wont play through those amps so they might have the wires dirrected around the amps, or all new wire was ran through the car. If you dont have a BOSE system you dont have to worry about it. the symphany should just go in without a sweat!!
